A Strong Statement
In true Italian fashion, the Ghibli exudes confidence and allure in a way unique to Italian-designed cars, bringing with it exotic styling, luxurious appointments, and a snarling engine that is sure to get your heart racing.
And if its looks alone don't win you over, the Ghibli is also packed with technology, including advanced driver assistance technology, the innovative Maserati Touch Control system, safety features like Traffic Sign Recognition and Forward Collision Warning, and beautifully appointed Granlusso and Gransport packages.
The Ghibli is squarely focused on backing up its undeniable road presence with real power and performance. Under the hood is a custom-designed twin-turbocharged V6 engine that features skillfully crafted camshafts and injectors with an advanced electronic control system. In the Ghibli S, that engine serves up 345 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, and it's paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The auto-adaptive software shifts seamlessly between five operating modes—Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport, and I.C.E. (Increased Control & Efficiency)—for a superior experience.
If it's more power you crave, we suggest the Ghibli S or S Q4. Both models keep the standard Ghibli's eight-speed automatic transmission, but upgrade to an advanced version of the 3.0-liter V6. In either spec, the engine churns out a powerful 424 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Like the standard model, the S employs rear-wheel drive, while the S Q4 benefits from all-wheel drive.
The Maserati mark of performance extends to the steering system, a high-tech servo-assisted hydraulic feat of engineering. You won’t “feel” the assistance around those high-speed corners, but you’ll see the results in the smile on your face as you look in the rearview mirror.
The Maserati Ghibli is available in three trims: base, S, and S Q4. Pricing starts at $74,980.*
The generously equipped "base" Ghibli features 19” Poseidone-machined alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, sunroof, and chrome exterior highlights to complement the stainless steel door sill plates. A healthy level of convenience comes standard thanks to keyless entry, push-button start, and a heated rear window for those chilly morning starts. Dual-zone automatic climate control and cruise control help keep your ride on an even keel.
The highlight of the dash is the 8.4-inch touchscreen “Maserati Touch Control” display, offering easy access to a variety of in-car features and up-to-date information. Here, you can set your route with Maserati’s standard navigation; enjoy your favorite cruising soundtrack via CD player or SiriusXM® radio through eight premium speakers; and pair your phone via Bluetooth® or Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration for the ultimate in connectivity.
The Ghibli S is marked by the upgraded engine, new brakes, adaptive headlights with washers, and additional leather trim on the dash and doors. The Ghibli S Q4 enjoys the same features in addition to its all-wheel drive system.
Maserati offers a variety of exterior colors, interior leathers, and other aesthetic options, so you can customize your 2019 Ghibli right down to brake caliper color. Other optional packages for the S and S Q4 add a number of eye-catching cosmetic and performance enhancements like exterior and interior carbon fiber kits.
The Driver Assistance Package features the latest in driver aid technology, including a surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.
Other available options include a Skyhook adaptive suspension system, a harmon/kardon® 900-watt audio system that takes advantage of 10 high-powered speakers carefully positioned throughout the cabin, and a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound System.
The Ghibli exudes lightness with its sleek design, a quality that extends throughout the largely aluminum-based chassis. Gloss black front and side grilles add an intriguing hint of menace to the exterior, while the stainless steel exhaust with chrome tips leaves a lasting impression for others as you pass.
Inside, you’ll find a lushly appointed interior that starts with the Poltrona Frau leather upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel and joystick. The classic trident logo is embossed on both front and rear headrests.
Storage is extensive and thoughtfully placed. The front tunnel hides a media box, while the front armrest includes twin mechanical openings and illuminated storage. There are also a number of 12-volt sockets for keeping your plethora of devices charged and ready. After all, when your ride looks this good, you never know when adventure will call.
The Maserati Ghibli features a complete air-bag system (dual-stage front bags, side bags, head bags, and driver’s knee bags) plus Automatic Hill Holder technology, Maserati Stability Program (MSP), and Brake Assistance System (BAS).
A rearview camera is linked to the Maserati Touch Control system, displaying the path behind you when reversing. An alarm system is also included for additional peace of mind, and the available Driver Assistance Package includes additional high-tech safety features like a 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control.
The 2019 Maserati Ghibli carves its own path in a crowded marketplace by offering an impressive driving experience, combined with true luxury. The Ghibli is sure to thrill both old enthusiasts of the Maserati trident, as well as a new generation of fans.
